Who said you have to go far to have fun in water? Hoboken Cove Boathouse at Maxwellhouse Boathouse offers free kayaking and small non-motorized boat access to the Hudson River. The City meets the sea at the New York Aquarium. The only aquarium located in New York City, it seeks to educate land creatures on the importance of ocean creatures. Featuring more than 8,000 sea animals, the aquarium allows visitors to see creatures from all over the world in a short trip to Surf Avenue in Brooklyn. Open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Adults are $12; seniors (65+) $10; children (2 - 12) $9 but children under 2 are free; group rate $6. Hunterbrook Horse Farm offers quality English riding instruction from beginners to advanced riders in Central NJ. We like to start our new riders with a few individual lessons and then bring them, when ready, into groups with other riders in the same skill level. We offer half hour and hour private lessons. We also offer half hour or 45 minute semi-private lessons. Group lessons (3-5 riders per group) are available in 45 minute and hour increments. We provide safety approved riding helmets.
